About the Friends of the Crusher Lot

The Friends group was started by folks who appreciate the Crusher Lot woodland as a valuable natural resource, a “peaceful area for passive recreational activities, walking and nature observation” (from Arlington’s Open Space and Recreation Plan). Our goal is to help maintain the woodland in its natural state and help keep it clean and safe for all.

The founding organizers of the Friends of the Crusher Lot include:

  • Joy Ahearn
  • Lindsay Keach Bronstein
  • Elisabeth & Alan Carr-Jones
  • Lily, Jeff & Isaiah Chung
  • Erin Fera
  • Seth Hamlin
  • Julia McLaughlin

Park and Recreation Commission Asks No Unauthorized Trail Building

It has been reported to the Arlington Park and Recreation Commission that there has been some unauthorized trail building in the Crusher Lot property. The Commission would like to remind residents that unauthorized trail building is prohibited on Town property. If anyone would like to build new trails or improve upon existing trails in our parks we ask that you please contact Director of Recreation Joseph Connelly at jconnelly@town.arlington.ma.us for approval.
